Artist's Comments

The celebration-reprieve scene was one of the best moments to come out of Rising Storm this NaNoWriMo. It pulled together nearly all the major characters, solidifying their relationships and interactions with each other, setting the stage for what's to come... and parts of it were just plain funny. Others were sad.

"You drink too much."

It wasn't the most prudent thing to say to one's commanding officer, even if it was true-- Farren was challenging his luck, again. Fortunately Inovar, unlike the rest of his family, has a very even temper.

Inovar has his "don't make me demote you" face on. If I'd been 100% true to the scene, Tath would have been asleep on the other side of the table... but I wasn't, obviously. Trying to give the appearance of a busy crowd was headache enough. Working out formal-fancy/non-armor clothes for Inovar was fun, as was contrasting it with Farren's usual grungy coat. (That blue ribbon is his only concession to formality.) I just can't get used to Farren's dyed bangs, though... Way too used to seeing them white. He couldn't have been here without dying them, though.

What is it with high-ranking military people all drinking too much? My friend's character told the same thing to mine, once. She pretty much had the same facial expression too. xD

The background looks awesome, as do the characters. I love that glare, hehe. And the scratches\scars on Farren's face look incredibly cool as well.

Heh, I like this one muchly. Could you give me any colouring tips, I'm finding Photoshop so hard to use. Do you also ink in photoshop? I just need any tips you can spare! Lol.

I love teh twinkly background especially!
