RS: Your Fault

"You're a fool," Farren hissed. "You can't rewrite the laws of the world just because you don't like them. If you hate killing so much, then go crawl back to whatever dreamland you came from, because you don't belong here. It’s a bloody, reeking war we're fighting in a bloody, reeking, hellbound world."
"That's why I'm here," Erylandes replied evenly, but his narrowed eyes revealed his temper. "I came to change that."
"You can't change anything! The only thing you’ve done so far is killed my family!"
He saw the wince that went through the young man. "I never meant... Farren, I wouldn't..."
"Because you couldn't stand to have blood on your hands, you let them be murdered!" Farren’s voice was rising, all the anger he had been supressing for weeks suddenly igniting at once. "Yes, you crippled hypocrite, it’s your fault!"
