Ben and Leona in the Wayrift, done for Wren and Syntyche right before National Novel Writer's Month began. Description comes from the email that accompanied it.

"While Wren was just posting up the Wayrift Origins, and Ben and Leona got lost in the Wayrift again, I was struck by two things: the emotion and intent of their experiences there, and by the urge to draw them in a Rift.

Both Leona and Ben are at serious risk in the Wayrifts... She's an ordinary human girl with no powers and no defenses. She can't help herself; she can so easily get lost in the Infinite Ways. And Ben, for all his fancy titles and super powers, can't keep control of himself there. He's vulnerable to his own inner fears and perceptions of his own darkness. Both of them are in serious danger of being lost. And yet they both try to save each other. And that's what I see ultimately getting them out safely: their desire to help each other and the instinctive need to hold on. As if, by holding on, they can keep themselves from being lost."
